Coral Sunset
Coral Sunset
So many people love peony “Coral Charm” but for me, it’s “Coral Susnet” that has my heart.
The coral is less saturated than Coral Charm and, on mature plants, the blooms are fuller. Coral Sunset is equally floriferous to Coral Charm but - to my eye - the coral color fades a bit more than Coral Charm.
Whereas Coral Charm requires support in the landscape, Coral Sunset has not needed it for us. Coral Sunset is an excellent cut flower that has stored very well in our trials.
Coral Sunset blooms slightly before Coral Charm. So if you want an extended Coral bloom season, you can consider growing both wonderful cultivars
All bare-root peonies ship Sept-Oct.
