Sunny Girl’s has densely-petaled double flowers in a creamy butter yellow that trnsitions to cream s the bloom mtures. Sometime you can also catch a touch of peach in the coloration. It is a stunning cultivar.

In addition to the beautiful color Sunny Girl adds to any landsacpe, her blooms show great promise for cut flowers (We are trialing them as cuts). She is also fertile both ways and can be used in breeding programs.

Giiven the size and weight of the Sunny Girl’s flowers, support will be required.

Grower’s note: For us - Sunny Girl has not been a fast grower (though others report it is).

It has also been prone ileaf spot n the first 2-3 years post division. That said, once it matures, we’ve seen disease issues reduce but still recurr to some extent in wet humid years.

For this reason, I only recommend Sunny Girl to more experienced gardeners. If you’re in a humid, rainy climate and are new to peony cultivation, then maybe try easier cultivars first before “graduating” to beautiful Sunny Girl.
