Voskhod
Voskhod
Voskhod is a Russian variety not often found in the US. Described as a “Red,” to my eye the color is more like Violet-Fuschia, becoming more Violet as the flower matures. The central petals can range from light violet to a deeper tone.
Voskhod is fragrant and prolific flower producer. Flowers are medium large with a crown forming on many flowers once the plant is mature. Voskhod benefits from support in the landscape
Shows good promise as a cut flower (though vase life needs to be tested). Overall - a worthy peony with great promis for US gardens!
All bare-root peonies ship Sept-Oct.
